Trend Spotting: Volcanic Visage

When one sees a girl on the cover a book with an exploding and/or smoking volcano in the background it can only mean adventure/dystopia/exploding goodness... for the reader that is. Take a look at these three 2015 titles that have teenagers in the forefront and vehement volcanoes in the backdrop!


Archivist Wasp by Nicole Kornher-Stace

In this dystopian Wasp is a ghost hunter. She agrees to travel to the underworld with the soul of super-soldier to find his partner. Wasp hopes to find out how her world ended up the way it did and hopefully survive the journey.

After the Ashes by Sara K Joiner

In this piece of historical fiction Katrien must flee the jungle when the volcano Krakatau erupts causing mass destruction on the island of Java.
