Performers Showcase

The showcase is an annual event, usually held in February, at the SCLS building in Bellport. It is a full day event that is a combination of performances and exhibitions of programs for children, young adults and adults to an audience of librarians from Suffolk member libraries.

Authors Unlimited

This event celebrates reading by connecting teens and authors. It is a free full-day event open to everyone, but teens get preferred seating! Here you can meet dynamic authors of young adult literature, attend break out author sessions. Autograph session at the end of the day. Books available for purchase.

Battle of the Books

The Battle of the Books is an inter-library competition between teams of teens focused on eight young adult novels. On the day of the Battle, each team gets to participate in four separate rounds. Each round covers two of the eight books, and each team is given twenty questions per round. The four top scoring teams will compete for the County Championship on Monday night.

Book Buzz

Meet and hear from leading publishers where they will highlight upcoming titles for the next season. There will be displays, advanced reading copies and other promotional materials available for all interested library staff who attend.
