On August 4th, SCLS held its third-to-last Workshop at Lindenhurst Memorial Library. Thank you, Lindenhurst! It was great to see everyone there, and we even got to hang out with the bearded dragons!
After the Workshop, we hit the road to visit some libraries in the area before the day was through. First up was Babylon Public Library, where they embraced the Olympic spirit for their Summer Reading Club! Check out all the great photo ops for the kids:
Next we cruised over to West Babylon, where we found the children's department in the delicate process of transferring some chrysalides to their new mesh home, where they will soon become butterflies!
We closed out the afternoon at Copiague Memorial Public Library, where muggles and magical readers alike are greeted by a beautiful Harry Potter bulletin board. Meanwhile, teen readers have awesome Summer Reading prizes to shoot for, and a classic 8-bit Mario themed room to hang out in!
We're not done with our summer travels yet, so look out for more library visit posts soon - and maybe we'll even turn up at your library!
