Lots of Foxes

Late last year we at SCLS-YS were introduced to a new title from Harper Collins called Pax. This book is written by the immensity talented Sara Pennypacker who of course will be one of the guest speakers at the Fall Literature Conference that is taking place at the Bourne Mansion at the Oakdale Campus of St. John's University on Thursday, October 20th. Pax is about the special connection a boy has with his pet fox and how right at the start of the story they are forced to separate. It follows both of their lives in alternating chapters and covers themes of war, loss, and relationships among other topics. This title has received much praise from reviewers and looks to have been the first in a foxy trend! Take a look at some of the following titles that have foxes standing front and center this year!
