Did You Hear? 2016 Hans Christian Andsersen Award Winners Announced

Yesterday, as part of the festivities surrounding the Bologna Children's Book Fair, The winners of the 2016 Hans Christian Andersen Children's Book Awards were announced. According to the award's parent organization, the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY), the Hans Christian Andersen Award "is the highest international recognition given to an author and an illustrator of children's books. Every other year IBBY presents the Andersen Award to a living author and illustrator whose complete works have made a lasting contribution to children's literature." And the drumroll please...

Congratulations to the winners!

 2016's list of finalists, which this year featured authors and illustrators from nine different countries, included our very own Lois Lowery.
