Seeing Red

Happy October! Since we are officially in the appropriate month for creepy things, things that are pumpkin spiced and ghouls I thought I would pick a few spooky books from this year to usher in the season. As you can tell I focused on red, black, blood, devils and murder.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN (29 days early!)

Dear Killer by Katherine Ewell

"Kit, a seventeen-year-old moral nihilist serial killer, chooses who to kill based on anonymous letters left in a secret mailbox, while simultaneously maintaining a close relationship with the young detective in charge of the murder cases."

Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige

"Amy Gumm, the other girl from Kansas, has been recruited by the Revolutionary Order of the Wicked to stop Dorothy who has found a way to come back to Oz, seizing a power that has gone to her head -- so now no one is safe!"

The Devil's Intern by Donna Hosie

"Seventeen-year-old Mitchell discovers a time-travel device that will allow him to escape his internship in Hell's accounting office and return to Earth, but his plans to alter the circumstances of his own death take an unexpected turn when his three closest friends in Hell insist on accompanying him back to the land of the living."

Oblivion by Sasha Dawn

"Sixteen-year-old Callie Knowles fights her compulsion to write constantly, even on herself, as she struggles to cope with foster care, her mother's life in a mental institution, and her belief that she killed her father, a minister, who has been missing for a year."

The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings

"In a world where the murder rate is higher than the birth rate, fifteen-year-old Meadow, trained by her father to kill and survive in any situation, falls in love with Zephyr, a government assassin."

Mortal Danger by Ann Aguirre

"After making a Faustian pact with the enigmatic Kian, Edie Kramer settles a score with the cruel people at Blackbriar Academy. But soon the pranks and payback turns from delicious to deadly and Edie is alone in a world teeming with secrets and fiends lurking in the shadows."

Amity by Micol Ostow

"Two teens narrate the terrifying days and nights they spend living in a house of horrors."
