News and Trends: September is Library Card Sign Up Month

In keeping with ALA’s promotion this year for September is Library Card Sign Up Month, SCLS has received permission from ALA to print up a limited amount of temporary cards with the Honorary Chair’s image - Snoopy!  The temporary cards are made to be used at outreach events when using the online Get a library card option available to Suffolk County patrons. If you are planning outreach events for September and would like to use these cards, please contact: samatha@suffolknet.org

Snoopy will also be visiting Long Island on Friday, September 25th from 3 -6 pm at the Center Court of the Walt Whitman Shops in Melville. (The Walt Whitman Mall.) Patrons can meet and take a picture with Snoopy, and get a free library card!
